At the Board meeting on Monday, the Board received Pastor Rick Cassel's request to resign his position at Warm Springs Baptist Church. The Board has accepted Pastor Rick's resignation and wish to inform you that his last day will be February 14, 2010. As we are saddened by Pastor Rick's resignation, it is our prayer for God's blessing upon him and his family as they seek God's will in their lives. Please pray with us for God's guidance, blessings and provision for the Cassel family.

Senior Pastor Update 02-01-2010 (Beginning next week, please look for updates on the what's up@ws page under pastor search updates

1. The Board is in the process of obtaining an Interim Pastor. Growing Healthy Churches now has several qualified prospects for us to interview.

2. The Sr. Pastor Search Committee is engaged and is re-opening the process for qualified applicants. Anyone currently on our church staff, and also including the future Interim Pastor, is not eligible to apply for the Sr. Pastor position.

3. The Sr. Pastor Search Committee is setting a goal of 60 days to take applications and find a qualified candidate. If that candidate emerges in a shorter time we will let you know as soon as possible. Likewise, if we need more time, the Search Team will communicate that as well. Sixty days is our goal but we need to be sensitive to God's timing.

We as a church, all of us, need to continue, together, praying for each other and praying for the new Sr. Pastor God has planned for us.

Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and His understanding no one can fathom.

He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
